Vocational training

Vocational training
and employability

In many countries, the young population is growing rapidly. At the same time, there is a lack of apprenticeships, modern training opportunities and career prospects.

Many young people cannot find work. At the same time, companies and public institutions are suffering from a shortage of qualified specialists. This is where the LED comes in. It supports programs that strengthen practical vocational training and facilitate entry into working life.

Priority countries: Bolivia, Moldova, Zambia, Cambodia

The focus of our work is on:

  • Promotion of national framework conditions and institutions
  • Support for vocational training providers
  • Strengthening career guidance and integration into the labor market
  • Non-formal education programs

The aim is for people to acquire vocational skills that enable them to earn an independent income, secure work and long-term prospects. Vocational training thus becomes a key lever against poverty and exclusion
