Vocational training

Vocational training

Promoting young people’s professional and entrepreneurial growth

Brief description of the project

The IMPULSA project strengthens the employability and entrepreneurial prospects of socially disadvantaged young people in Bolivia. MANQ’A supports young women and men in developing practical skills in sustainable gastronomy. Through dual training in catering businesses, practice-oriented courses at schools and targeted mentoring and coaching, MANQ’A promotes professional qualifications and strengthens entrepreneurial, digital and social skills.

At the same time, four public technical training centers are being modernized, curricula adapted to the requirements of the gastronomy sector, teachers trained and cooperation with companies intensified in order to closely link training, employment and entrepreneurship. An entrepreneurship hub supported by MANQ’A helps young people to set up their own gastronomy projects and provides access to start-up capital, markets and professional advice.

Project goals

  • Practice-oriented training: young people acquire technical, entrepreneurial and digital skills that facilitate their entry into employment or self-employment.
  • Strengthening public educational institutions: Schools and institutes offer modernized, labor market-oriented programs.
  • Support networks for young people: Mentoring, coaching promote sustainable employment and business start-ups.
  • Transfer and impact: The model is transferred to public training centers and contributes to a more inclusive and practical education system.
