Brief description of the project

The “CONSEPT 6 – Foundational Learning in VET” project is the sixth phase of the CONSEPT program, which has been implemented over many years and systematically builds on previous reform steps in the Moldovan vocational education and training system.

The aim of the project is to structurally strengthen basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, natural sciences and digital skills within vocational training in order to further improve training success.

A systemic approach is being pursued by updating general education curricula in selected sectors, developing innovative teaching and learning materials, providing targeted further training for teachers and introducing diagnostic tools and additional remedial teaching.

As a result, more vocational students – especially lower-performing students – will complete their training with better learning outcomes, improving their employability and future prospects.
