Vocational training

Education and training in irrigation technology for young people and professionals in agriculture

Brief description of the project

The PRITEC project supports young people and farmers in Chuquisaca through practical training and mobile training courses in technical irrigation systems. The aim is to train competent specialists in irrigation technology who will ensure the efficient use of water resources in agriculture in the future. At the same time, the Instituto Técnico Superior José Martí is being strengthened: curricula are being adapted to the practical requirements of irrigation technology, teachers are receiving further training and learning opportunities are being designed with a practical focus. In this way, participants acquire technical skills, knowledge of irrigation management and entrepreneurial skills that open up better opportunities for career prospects and self-employment in the agricultural sector.

Project goals

At the end of the project, the trained young people and farmers will apply modern irrigation techniques, strengthen their family farms and thus contribute to the economic development of the region, while the José Martí Technical Institute will provide high-quality training geared towards the local labor market.
