The Foundation Board is pleased to announce the successor to the management of the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED). Mr. Andreas Sicks from Zurich was unanimously elected as the new Managing Director.
Mr. Sicks has more than 20 years of experience in development cooperation, including several years of leadership and management experience. As a specialist in agriculture and the environment, Mr. Sicks has worked in various countries both in project implementation on the ground and as a consultant. Mr. Sicks gained his experience through activities at the North-South Centre of the ETH Zurich, the Swiss Protestant Church Aid Organisation (HEKS) and various German bilateral development cooperation organizations.
For the last nine years, Mr. Sicks has helped shape the well-known Swiss foundation Biovision as Head of Programs & Partnerships, and for the last four years as a member of the Executive Board. The LED team and the Foundation Board are looking forward to working with him. Mr. Sicks is expected to take up his position on 1 September. Until then, Pius Frick will continue to manage the business on an interim basis.
