More Knowledge for Better Development Projects: LED Supports Continuing Education

How can even small development projects achieve a sustainable impact? The three-day course “Global Cooperation with Local Impact” at ETH Zurich provides practical, foundational knowledge on international development cooperation. The Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) covers the course fees for nonprofit organizations from Liechtenstein that are active in development cooperation.

From January 28 to 30, 2027, NADEL – Center for Development and Cooperation at ETH Zurich will offer a continuing education program for people who are involved in small-scale development projects or who are interested in international cooperation.

This English-language course provides a basic understanding of the goals, key players, and approaches of international development cooperation. In addition to the causes of poverty and inequality, the course also covers the historical development of development cooperation, colonial influences, and current challenges.

There is a special emphasis on practical project work. Participants learn key fundamentals of project management and explore issues related to effectiveness, participatory approaches, locally led development cooperation, and reporting to funding organizations.

The LED is committed to supporting even smaller, often volunteer-run organizations in Liechtenstein by providing expertise and professional development opportunities. After all, even small initiatives can make a big difference when projects are carefully planned and effectively implemented.

That is why the LED covers the course fee of CHF 570 for nonprofit organizations in Liechtenstein that are involved in development cooperation.
