With the new LED Strategy 2023-2026, support for a “sustainable food system with a focus on agroecology” has become one of the LED’s two priority areas. This is at the heart of the work in the partner countries Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Tanzania and Mozambique.
At the international level, the Transformative Partnership Platform for Agroecology is trying to help agroecological methods achieve a breakthrough in agricultural research and practice. This is done through the approach and the attempt to gradually integrate agroecological principles into the food system and thereby support the urgently needed change in the food system towards more sustainability.
The LED supports the platform both institutionally and in terms of monitoring progress in its partner countries.
