Insight into the current LED projects in the Republic of Moldova

During a one-week project visit to the Republic of Moldova from November 12 to 20, 2024, LED Project Manager Miriam Speh and LED Country Coordinator Nadejda Burciu visited the projects and partners supported by LED.

The LED employees exchanged ideas on site with other donors in the field of vocational training (ADA, SDC, GIZ) and the Moldovan Camera de Comerț și Industrie (CCI). New project concepts for the promotion of dual vocational education and training in the Republic of Moldova were discussed with the long-standing partner organization AED (Asociația Obștească “Educație pentru Dezvoltare”).

One highlight was the one-day “LED TVET Partner Thinkshop” – to intensify the exchange between the LED’s local and international partner organizations, including AED, CEDA (Centrul pentru Educație Antreprenorială şi Asistență în Afaceri), ATIC (Moldovan Association of ICT Companies), ILO (International Labour Organization) and CCI.

In the north of Moldova, three vocational schools (CEHTA in Țaul, CMVEA Brătușeni, Vocational School No. 4 in Bãlţi) impressed with their entrepreneurial activities and a workshop on waste management. The Youth Maker Club (Clubul Tinerilor Makeri) in Bãlţi in turn inspired the LED team with its creative, innovative and fun technical projects.

The LED would like to thank all partners for their great commitment, cooperation and exchange during this visit and beyond.
