Many rural agricultural businesses in Tanzania have the potential to grow, create jobs, and improve the incomes of smallholder farming families. However, they often lack access to affordable credit and technical support.
This is where a project co-financed by the LED comes in. Through tailored loans and technical advice from balim Investments , rural agricultural enterprises are given the opportunity to expand their business operations and become more resilient. This benefits around 2,000 smallholder farmers and their families. The project improves market access, boosts incomes, and increases food security. At the same time, it promotes sustainable farming methods, responsible water management, and access to renewable energy.
This creates long-term opportunities for people who make their living from agriculture.
