The Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) is Liechtenstein’s organization for international development cooperation. Since 1965, the LED has been helping people in disadvantaged regions to improve their living conditions in a sustainable way.

The LED finances and supports long-term programs in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. The focus is on education and vocational training, food security and fair economic and social prospects.

The projects are implemented together with local partners. The LED works closely with civil society organizations, educational institutions and state actors. This results in solutions that are adapted to local needs and have a lasting impact.

As Liechtenstein’s bilateral donor, the LED uses public funds in a targeted manner to strengthen structures, build skills and enable sustainable development.
