From February 6 to 16, Senegal will host the fourth edition of the Agroecology Days(Journées de l’Agroécologie – JAE), which will take place in the regions until February 13 and then in the capital Dakar on February 14 and 15. Together with other organizations, the LED is co-financing this initiative organized by the DyTAES network in Senegal.
DyTAES stands for “Dynamique pour une Transition Agroécologique au Sénégal” and aims to strengthen agroecology (AÖ) in Senegal. AÖ shows a way to transform agriculture towards more climate resilience. Farmers, researchers, representatives of organizations, authorities and associations as well as students will use this event as an opportunity for personal dialogue, professional exchange and to assess the current situation.
The Covid crisis and the Russian-Ukrainian war have shown how important the resilience and autonomy of regional food systems are for food security.
