Together with the SDC, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the LED is supporting the CREATIVO project in the Republic of Moldova. On April 27, practical training in greenhouse cultivation was launched at the agricultural school in Svetlii, in the south of Moldova, as part of CREATIVO. The LED project manager Miriam Speh (top left in the picture) was present at the official start of the course.
A total of ten Moldovan vocational training institutions are receiving support as part of this project. Beforehand, they are required to submit a business plan in which they develop their training programs or present other promising business ideas, such as a car repair shop attached to the vocational school. What counts here is demand orientation, i.e. the creation of educational or service offerings for which there is a proven need and therefore a demand.
This CREATIVO project strengthens vocational training institutions financially, gives vocational school students the opportunity to gain practical work experience and increases the range of further training courses offered by schools. This improves the quality of training and the employability of young people and adults.
