In Memory of Heinz Batliner

Heinz Batliner (1930 bis 2024), LED founding father and president of the first LED Foundation Board

Heinz Batliner leaves behind traces of solidarity. Friends and companions experienced Heinz as a very social person. Together with Gerard Batliner and Robert Allgäuer, he was one of the founding fathers of the Liechtenstein Development Service. In the early years from 1965 to 1972, he steered the fortunes of the LED as President of the Foundation Board. He was predestined for this position due to his understanding of international social and economic contexts and his humanitarian approach. In him, Liechtenstein has lost a great personality who always worked for the good of the community. It is with great gratitude that we remember his formative role for our institution as well as his humane, warm and respectful manner. 

We will keep Heinz's work in honourable memory.
