Webinars on Sustainable Food Systems in September
How will we grow healthy food in the future? Agroecology (in its broadest sense, ecological agriculture) offers a perspective. It will completely change the way we feed ourselves. Among other things, it emphasizes an integrated approach and aims to protect and conserve resources and soil quality by reducing and eliminating the use of pesticides and harmful chemicals. Learn more in the public lecture series of ETH Zurich's World Food System Center (Zoom webinars in English).
The first lecture on September 27 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. is about biodiversity (species diversity). The speakers are Jaboury Ghazoul, Professor Ecosystem Management at ETH Zurich and Marianna Fenzi, scientist at the History of Science and Technology Laboratory at EPF Lausanne. Access to the events via public zoom link.
The four other webinars will take place in October on Tuesdays at 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. each day. The topics of the other presentations are animal health (Oct. 4), social values (Oct. 11), participation (Oct. 18) and managing the use of soils and natural resources (Oct. 25).
