New CEO appointed for the LED
The Foundation Board is pleased to announce the succession in the management of the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED). Mr. Andreas Sicks from Zurich was unanimously elected as the new CEO.
Mr Sicks has more than 20 years of experience in development and cooperation, including several years of management and executive experience. As a specialist in agriculture and environment, Mr. Sicks has been active in a wide range of countries both in project implementation on the ground and in consultancy. Mr. Sicks gained his experience through activities at the North-South Centre of the ETH Zurich, the Swiss Interchurch Aid organisation (HEKS) and various German bilateral development cooperation organisations, among others.
For the last nine years, Mr. Sicks was able to help shape the well-known Swiss foundation Biovision as Head of Programmes & Partnerships, during the last 4 years as a member of the Executive Board. The LED team and the Foundation Board are looking forward to this collaboration. Mr Sicks is expected to take up his position on 1 September. Until then, Pius Frick will continue to manage the business on an interim basis.
