Synergies found between LED partners in Senegal

On 11 and 12 December, representatives of the LED partner organisation HEKS and Horizont3000 met with their local partners in the Senegalese city of Thies. The aims of the meeting was to present the organic SPG certification by FENAB, the national association for organic agriculture in Senegal, and to discuss the marketing of agricultural products. These are key challenges for both sides.

The meeting, which also focussed on possible future cooperation, was the result of a project visit to Senegal by LED project manager Marion Reichenbach in October. On this occasion, she identified various synergies in both projects, drew her partners' attention to them and networked them with each other. "Networking our partners is an important part of our new strategy to support South-South cooperation. This also results in a valuable exchange of experience for us," explains the LED employee.
