Agroecology and sustainable development - FIBL Synthesis Report

The long-time LED partner "Research Institute of Organic Agriculture" (FIBL) with headquarters in Frick/Switzerland recently presented its synthesis report on "What is the contribution of organic agriculture to sustainable development? A synthesis of twelve years (2007-2019) of the "Long-term Comparison of Agricultural Systems in the Tropics (SysCom)". The report provides scientifically sound answers on the comparative performance of organic and conventional agricultural production systems and is aimed at a readership beyond the scientific community. These findings contribute to regional and international dialogue on ways to transform sustainable food systems, including food security and environmental sustainability.
