Cultural prejudices continue to prevent many women from choosing these professions. At the same time, Cambodia&#8217;s economy needs more competent workers with digital skills.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The project helps to increase the proportion of women in the IT and technology sector. Young women develop skills as well as self-confidence, which is necessary for a successful entry into the modern labor market. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-text\">Project goals<\/h3>\n\n<p>Young women have good digital skills and programming knowledge, which enables them to enter the labor market of the increasingly digital economy, e.g. in the technology sector. This gives more women access to well-paid work. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to 450 young women complete the Sister of Code programming club training program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to 270 women take part in an advanced program that prepares them for entry into the world of work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is a growing awareness of the gender imbalance in technical professions in Cambodia. This goes hand in hand with the realization that women need to be better supported.
