Among other things, it emphasizes an integrated approach and aims to protect and conserve resources and soil quality by avoiding the use of pesticides and harmful chemicals wherever possible. The World Food System Center at ETH Zurich is shedding light on this central topic in a <a href=\"https:\/\/worldfoodsystem.ethz.ch\/outreach-and-events\/past-events\/agroecology-lectures-2022.html\">five-part public lecture series<\/a> (Zoom webinars) in English.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The first <a href=\"https:\/\/worldfoodsystem.ethz.ch\/outreach-and-events\/past-events\/agroecology-lectures-2022.html\">lecture on September 27<\/a> from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. will focus on biodiversity. The speakers are Jaboury Ghazoul, Professor of Ecosystem Management at ETH Zurich and Marianna Fenzi, scientist at the Laboratory for the History of Science and Technology at EPF Lausanne. Access to the event is via the public Zoom link.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The four further webinars will take place in October on Tuesdays at 6.15 to 7.15 pm.
