Dairy farmers in Mali can once again look to the future with more confidence: the project by V\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires Sans Fronti\u00e8res Suisse (VSF-Suisse) and its local partner CAB-D\u00e9m\u00e9so contributed to the promotion of local milk production in Mali in the first years and project phases. The aim in the current final phase is now to improve the local milk value chain and thereby increase the farmers’ competitiveness in the long term. This project, co-financed by the LED and Medicor, also places great emphasis on gender equality and social aspects, e.g. through the increased employment of women and young people, as well as their greater participation in the management bodies of cooperatives and trade unions. Thanks to an increased <\/p>\n\n

income of women and young people and improved food security in households, the COMPLAIT project is making a significant contribution to poverty reduction in one of the poorest countries in the world.
