The non-profit NGO was founded in 1976 and has been working with the LED on this project since 2018.  <br\/> <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Background to the project:<\/strong> The climate crisis and water scarcity are jeopardizing agricultural production and pose a threat to campesino families and producer associations in the San Pedro de Macha district. The part of the project already implemented there has developed technologies and agricultural good practices that have been well received by the local smallholders.
